Nashville Predators Executive Vice President/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled forward Mathieu Darche from the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League.
Darche, 27 (11/26/76), is tied for the Admirals'lead in goals (11) and is tied for third on the team with 20 points (11g-9a-20pts) in 32 games. The 6-1, 212-pound St. Laurent, Que. native also leads Milwaukee with 111 shots and is tied for third on the team with a +11 rating.
Signed by Nashville as a free agent on September 10, 2003, Darche notched one goal and one assist (1g-1a-2pts) in 24 NHL games with the Columbus Blue Jackets from 2000-2003. He originally signed with Columbus as a free agent out of McGill University (OUAA) on May 16, 2000.
The Admirals are off until Thursday when they take on the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks at the Bradley Center at 7 pm. Milwaukee will follow that game up with a matinee on Saturday at 1:30 versus the Utah Grizzlies.
