Rewind:
Friday, Devils 4 @ BRUINS 2
Rookie D Andy Greene scored the first two goals of his professional career, helping to carry the Devils to a 4-2 win on the road against Providence. Grant Marshall and Ryan Murphy also lit the lamp for Lowell, while Frank Doyle made 33 saves in net for the win.
Saturday, SOUND TIGERS 6 vs. Devils 4
Bridgeport spotted the Devils a 3-0 lead in the first period, only to rattle off four straight goals and eventually win 6-4 at the Arena at Harbor Yard. Barry Tallackson had a hand in every Lowell goal on the night, scoring twice and adding a pair of assists. Frank Doyle suffered the loss for the Devils in relief by allowing the game winner late in the second period.
Sunday, DEVILS 3 vs. Bruins 2
Chris Minard scored twice and added an assist, while Justin Papineau had 1g-1a to lead the Devils to a 3-2 victory over Providence on Sunday at the Tsongas Arena. Jordan Parise rebounded from Saturday's outing to stop 34 Bruins shots in the victory. Lowell improved to 3-1-0-0 against Providence on the season, including 2-0 at home.
In the standings
The Devils improved to 15-12-2-1 by winning two of three games during the weekend, and sit alone in third place in the Atlantic Division with 33 points. The Portland Pirates sit in first place with just a three-point lead over the Devils, and Manchester, who comes to town Wednesday night, is in second place with 34 points. Ten points separate first and last place in the Atlantic Division.
