Adirondack Phantoms News Release

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Phantoms announced today that they are teaming up with the United Way to bring holiday cheer to some less-fortunate children in Philadelphia.

The entire Phantoms roster is taking part in a holiday party for children currently being assisted by AchievAbility, a Philadelphia agency that helps families get out of homelessness and poverty and find their way to self-sufficiency. Twenty children from AcheivAbility submitted short wish lists to the United Way of items they wanted as gifts for the holiday season. Each Phantoms player has been assigned one child to provide gifts off those lists.

On Wednesday, December 20, the kids and their families will be brought to the Virtua Health Flyers Skate Zone at Voorhees via a motor coach donated by Academy Bus Tours. They will arrive at 12 PM, where the Phantoms will be waiting for them with a pizza party. The players will then meet their respective child and will present their gifts, while also spending time with the group as a whole. The event is open to the media and is slated to run until approximately 12:45.

The Phantoms return to the ice this Friday, December 22 when they host the Binghamton Senators at 7:05 PM. It's a Toys for Tots donation night, with representatives from the Marine Corps on hand to take donations of new, unwrapped toys.

As always, individual tickets for all Phantoms games, including $8 tickets for children 14 and under anywhere in the building, are on sale now at phantomshockey.com or by calling 800-298-4200.
