
Little Returns to 'Blades; York Recalled to Syracuse

ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades announced Tuesday that defenseman Mike Little has returned to the team from the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League. In addition, the team also announced that goaltender Allen York has been recalled by the Syracuse Crunch (AHL).
Little, 27, returns to the Everblades after going scoreless in four games played with Charlotte. The 5-9, 185-pound blueliner has registered 18 points (2g, 16a) in 20 games played with the Everblades this season.
The Enfield, CT native totaled 22 points (4g,18a) and a +14 rating in 44 games with Florida last season, and was the recipient of the team's Brandon Coalter Unsung Hero Award.
York, 25, heads to Syracuse having posted a 13-3-1 record, with a 2.45 goals against average, a .905 save percentage, and two shutouts this season with Florida. This is York's second call up with Syracuse, but has yet to make an appearance with the Crunch this season.
Last season, York registered 4-4-2 record, a 2.65 goals against average, and a .912 save percentage in 12 AHL appearances last season split between stints with the Charlotte Checkers, Rockford IceHogs, Texas Stars, and Syracuse Crunch.
The 6-3, 194-pound netminder made 11 National Hockey League appearances with the Columbus Blue Jackets during the 2010-11 season netting a 3-2 record, 2.30 goals against average, and a .919 save percentage. York was selected by Columbus in the sixth round of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
The Everblades continue their road trip this evening at Gwinnett. Andy Iles is expected to start in goal tonight for the Everblades. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m.
