Cincinnati's Brittain Named CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Sam"ˆBrittain of the Cincinnati Cyclones is the CCM "ˆECHL"ˆGoaltender of the Week for Dec. 22-28.
Brittain went 1-0-0 with a 0.97 goals-against average and a save percentage of .970 last week.
The 22-year-old turned aside 32 of the 33 shots he faced in a 2-1 overtime win at Indy on Saturday.
Under contract to the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League, Brittain has appeared in 10 games with the Cyclones this season posting a record of 5-4-1 with one shutout, a 2.62 goals-against average and a save percentage of .900.
Selected by the Panthers in the fourth round (92nd overall) of the 2010 NHL"ˆEntry Draft,"ˆBrittain is in his first pro season after spending the last four seasons with the University of Denver. He appeared in 97 career games with Pioneers going 51-34-11 with seven shutouts, a 2.36 goals-against average and a save percentage of .924.
