Myles Bell Recalled by Albany Devils
December 30, 2014 - ECHL (ECHL)
Evansville IceMen News Release
EVANSVILLE, Ind.- The Albany Devils of the AHL recalled forward, Myles Bell from the Evansville IceMen, presented by Coors Light on Tuesday afternoon. Bell has scored eight goals and picked up seven assists in his rookie season with the IceMen.
Since rejoining the IceMen on Dec. 18, Bell dished out one assist in six games. He had a helper on Kale Kerbashian's power play goal in the IceMen's 6-4 victory over the Fort Wayne Komets on Dec.26.
Bell played two games with Albany in the middle of December, with two shots on goal. A rookie out of Calgary, Bell played junior hockey with the Kelowna Rockets of the WHL, where he scored 93 points in 69 games during the 2012-13 season to earn a +46 rating and a spot on the WHL (West) Second All-Star Team.
The New Jersey Devils selected the former 40 goal scorer in the WHL in the 6th round of the 2013 NHL draft, making Bell the 160th pick overall. Bell scored his first professional hat trick in the IceMen's Nov.7 win against Wheeling.
The IceMen will face the Quad City Mallards without Bell in a New Year's Eve showdown. Puck drop is set for 7:15 p.m. The first 1,000 fans at the Ford Center will receive thunder sticks. Stick around after the game as the IceMen ring in 2015 with a bang as fans will get to enjoy a post-game fireworks show.
