Kalamazoo Wings News Release

KALAMAZOO- The Kalamazoo Wings in conjunction with the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts (KIA) have made a fun and exciting new twist on the K-Wings long established colored ice tradition.

When the K-Wings host the Cincinnati Cyclones at Wings Stadium on Saturday, January 10th at 7:30 p.m., the ice will look like a completed canvas with the artists coming from the KIA's youth programs and members of the K-Wings Kidz Club.

The Wings Stadium ice will transform into a canvas this Saturday, January 3rd from 11a.m.-3 p.m. when members of the KIA and Kidz Club create their masterpieces.

Known for their colored ice games, which includes the "World Famous" St. Patrick's Day Green Ice, Pink Ice, Bell's Blue Ice and Orange Ice Games, the K-Wings are proud to create another opportunity for the community to come together.

Instead of featuring one paint color, the children will be able to create multi-colored artistic work on the same ice the K-Wings and Cyclones will be playing on.

Tickets for all K-Wings home games are currently on sale at Wings Stadium Ticket Office, all Ticketmaster locations, including www.ticketmaster.com or by calling (800) 745-3000.

Fans that plan on attending multiple games can avoid service fees plus enjoy a discount from the single-game price by purchasing a 12, 24 or 36-game flexi-plan. These plans along with group (15 or more people) ticket packages may be ordered through the K-Wings front office by calling (269) 743-6011.
