Lightning Reassign Huntington to Syracuse

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Orlando Solar Bears have announced that the Tampa Bay Lightning have reassigned rookie forward Jimmy Huntington from Orlando to the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.

Huntington, 21, was reassigned to the Solar Bears on Dec. 5 for his second stint with the club this season, and recorded one assist and two penalty minutes over two games. He previously tallied three points (1g-2a) in three games in a previous assignment to Orlando earlier this season. The 6-foot-1, 193-pound forward has also appeared in 13 games this season with Syracuse, recording four penalty minutes.

The native of Montreal, Quebec was signed by the Lightning as an undrafted free agent on March 1.

The Solar Bears hit the road for their next four games, starting Tuesday, Dec. 10 when they visit to the South Carolina Stingrays at the North Charleston Coliseum at 7:05 p.m. The Solar Bears return home to face the Kansas City Mavericks for the first time since the 2016-17 season on Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. for a Wine Down Wednesday; fans can take advantage of $5 wine specials during the game.
