Kings Sign Bartosak to Three-Year Entry Level Contract

LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have signed goaltender Patrik Bartosak to a three-year entry level contract, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

Bartosak, who turns 21 on March 29, was selected by the Kings in the fifth round (146th overall) in the 2013 NHL Draft.

In 59 games for the Red Deer Rebels (WHL) this season, Bartosak has a 29-24-5 record with a 2.84 goals-against-average, .923 save percentage, and seven shutouts. His 29 wins are fifth in the WHL, while his seven shutouts are tied for first.

Bartosak was 33-14-5 with a 2.26 goals-against-average, a .935 save percentage, and five shutouts in 55 games with Red Deer last season. Among WHL goaltenders he ranked fourth in goals-against-average, second in save percentage, tied for seventh in wins, tied for seventh in shutouts, and fifth in saves (1,695). He was named CHL Goaltender Of The Year, the WHL Top Goaltender, and a WHL First-Team All-Star.

In 2011-12, Bartosak was 14-10-1 with a 2.74 goals-against-average, a .915 save percentage, and one shutout with Red Deer.
