
Veteran NHL Defenseman Joe Corvo Rejoins Wolves

The Chicago Wolves announced Wednesday that defenseman JOE CORVO has been loaned to the team by the National Hockey League's Ottawa Senators.
CORVO, who appeared in 23 regular-season games and 18 playoff games for the Wolves during the 2004-05 season, has produced 92 goals and 218 assists in 780 regular-season games since making his NHL debut with the Los Angeles Kings on Dec. 14, 2002.
The 36-year-old Oak Park native also has played for the Ottawa Senators, Carolina Hurricanes, Washington Capitals and Boston Bruins during his 11-year NHL career. He recorded a career-high 14 goals for Los Angeles in 2005-06 and Carolina in 2008-09 and posted a career-high 48 points (13G, 35A) in 2007-08 while splitting the season between Ottawa and Carolina. He contributed three goals and seven assists in 25 games for Ottawa this season.
During the 2004-05 NHL lockout, Corvo signed with the Wolves on Feb. 23, 2005. He contributed seven goals and seven assists in 23 regular-season games before adding four goals and five assists in 18 playoff games to help the Wolves reach the 2005 Calder Cup Finals.
