Capitals Recall Ryan Stoa from Hershey

ARLINGTON, Va. - The Washington Capitals have recalled center Ryan Stoa from the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League (AHL), vice president and general manager George McPhee announced today.

Stoa, 26, has recorded seven points (four goals, three assists) and 20 penalty minutes in 37 career NHL games with Colorado. The Bloomington, Minn., native skated in 51 games with Hershey this season, registering 33 points (12 goals, 21 assists) and 45 penalty minutes. Stoa ranks tied for second among Hershey skaters in assists and third in points. The 6'4", 224-pound center registered 161 points (78 goals, 83 assists) and 250 penalty minutes in 274 career AHL games with Lake Erie and Hershey.
