Game Preview After starting the season playing each other 3 out of Kalamazoo's first 6 games the K-Wings will renew their rivalry with the Flint Generals. Saturday will be the fourth of eight meetings this season. The K-Wings enter the contest looking for their first victory over Flint since January 18th, 2002, which translates to a span of 5 games. The last time the K-Wings defeated the Generals at the IMA was back on December 9, 2001, when they won 4-3 in a shootout.

Good Things Come in Threes With their victories over Adirondack (12/28) and Elmira (12/29), the K-Wings will enter Flint riding a two game road winning streak. The two game streak is the first time this season the K-Wings will enter a road game on a multiple game road winning streak.
Sir Lawrence Forward Mark Lawrence enters Saturday's game on a scoring rampage. Lawrence will enter the game on a 6 game scoring streak, which is the longest current K-Wings scoring streak. The 6 game streak also ties Mark with Peter Roed and Richard Keyes for the longest K-Wings scoring streak of the season.
Battling the East The K-Wings are becoming very acquainted with the Eastern Conference. Saturday's game against Flint will be the K-Wings fifth of seven straight games against teams from the east. So far in the stretch, the K-Wings are 2-2-0. On the season, the K-Wings are 4-7-3 against the Eastern Conference.
Inching Closer With 4 points on the line this weekend, the K-Wings are hoping to gain some ground on the rest of the Western Conference. The K-Wings enter the weekend 7 points behind Quad City for second place, 6 points behind Rockford for third place, and 5 points behind Muskegon for fourth place.
