THE WEEK AHEAD
Friday, February 7th vs. Columbus Carolina Coliseum 7:05pm
Columbia is 3-2-0 against the Cottonmouths this season. This will be the sixth meeting between the two teams. Columbus is in sixth place in the Southeast Division with 41 points. It is Safety Awareness Night with Richland County Sheriffs Department helping to promote "Safety in Columbia".
Saturday, February 8th vs. Pee Dee Carolina Coliseum 7:05pm
This is the seventh meeting between the Inferno and the Pride. The Inferno is 3-2-1 against the Pride this season and 7-4-1 all-time. The Pride is currently tied with the Inferno at first place with 59 points in the Southeast Division. Boy Scouts will be in attendance collecting canned food for their "Scouting for Food" drive.

Tuesday, January 28th COLUMBUS 3 Columbia 2
Barrie Moore extended his goal streak to five games and Shawn Wansborough netted a marker for Columbia, which has dropped three straight games after winning seven in a row. Patrick Couture allowed three goals on 25 shots to take the loss.
Wednesday, January 29th CHARLOTTE 4 Columbia 3
Columbia came up one goal short to increase their losing streak to four games. Rejean Stringer, Robin Carruthers and Matt Ulwelling each had a goal for the Inferno. Patrick Couture turned aside 19 shots for Columbia.
Friday, January 31st COLUMBIA 6 Greenville 3
The Columbia Inferno ends their four-game losing streak as they win over the Greenville Grrrowl 6-3. Rejean Stringer scored three minutes into the first period on the power play with a pass from Chris Pittman. Tim Smith scores his first of the night with help from Stringer and Barrie Moore only 54 seconds into the second period. Greenville came back, scoring two goals to tie the game at two. Smith did not let up as he netted his second goal of the night to give the Inferno a 3-2 lead at 18:22. Robin Carruthers and Regan Darby assisted on the goal. At 3:44 of the third period, Carruthers scored his eighth of the season with a pass from Erik Adams to earn the game winner for the Inferno. Less than three minutes later, Greenville's Wieckowski scored to came within one goal. On the power play, Regan Darby stole the puck from a Greenville player, passed it to Tim Smith, who passed it to Eric Labelle who scored over the shoulder of goaltender Michael Garnett at 16:49. Smith scored his third goal of the night while the net was empty at 18:54.
Saturday, February 1st COLUMBIA 6 Greenville 4
An early power play goal at the 1:35 mark of the first period by Shawn Wansborough gave the Inferno the lead that they never lost. Rejean Stringer scored his 24th of the season at 9:22 with Matt Ulwelling assisting to give Columbia a 2-0 lead. Greenville's Mike Henderson answered one minute later their first goal of the night. On the power play again, Corey Hessler scored from the point with assists to Stringer and Tim Smith at the 12:39 mark. At 13:38, Greenville scored their second goal of the night to bring the score to 3-2. Chris St. Croix scored his 6th goal of the season on the power play at 18:11 to end the period at 4-2. Smith and Stringer assisted on the power play goal. Greenville tied the game in the second period with two goals by Rico Fatticci and Tyler Deis. The Inferno was scoreless in the second period. Chris St. Croix scored the winning goal at 7:48 into the third period with an assist to Matt Ulwelling. Barrie Moore continued his point streak with a goal at 13:26 with passes from Stringer and St. Croix. Josh Blackburn stopped 27 of 31 shots for the Inferno. Chris St. Croix and Rejean Stringer each had four points.
