
Florida Captures Three of Six Points this Past Week

Florida Everblades News Release
The Florida Everblades fell this past Friday night 3-1 against the Louisiana Ice Gators and then defeated the Ice Gators 6-5 in overtime on Saturday night in Lafayette, LA. Florida then traveled to Pensacola on Sunday night and fell in a shootout 7-6. The Everblades currently remain in third place in the ECHL's Southeast Division. All 72 regular season games can be heard on Sportsradio 770 AM and on the Internet at www.floridaeverblades.com with the "Voice of the Everblades" Mark Miller calling the play-by-play. 'The Gerry Fleming Coaches Show' presented by Stevie Tomato's Sportspage on Sportsradio 770 AM airs on 770 AM from 6:30 - 7:30 PM on Monday nights. The show will be live on remote at the Naples location for the next three shows.
UPCOMING EVENTS/PROMOTIONS AT TECO ARENA: The Everblades battle the South Carolina Stingrays on Tuesday, February 4th at 7:30 PM. Boston Pops visits TECO Arena on Thursday, February 6th. The Everblades annual Celebrity Dinner will be held in the Big Cypress Club at TECO Arena on Wednesday, February 19th. Tuesday, February 4th vs. South Carolina Stingrays 7:30 PM/EST
GAME NOTES: The Everblades and Stingrays will meet for the eighth time this season. Florida is 4-2-1 against them this season and 2-1-1 at TECO Arena. South Carolina (25-16-4) currently ranks in 4th place in the Southeast Division standings while Florida ranks in 3rd in the Southeast. The Everblades lead the Stingrays by 2 points in the standings and have played one more game this season. The Stingrays are 13-8-3 on the road this season and 5-4-1 in their last ten games. Florida holds a 22-8-5 record all-time against the Stingrays and a 12-3-4 record at TECO Arena. Forward Dave Seitz leads the team in scoring with 14-37-51. The Stingrays power play ranks 5th in the ECHL and their penalty kill ranks 16th. The Everblades power play ranks 19th while their penalty kill ranks 25th.
Friday, February 7th vs. Jackson Bandits 7:30 PM/EST
GAME NOTES: The Everblades and Bandits will meet for the first time this season. The Everblades and Bandits did not play against each other last season. Jackson (24-19-5) currently ranks in 5th place in the Southwest Division standings while Florida ranks in 3rd in the Southeast. The Bandits are 7-11-3 on the road this season and 4-4-2 in their last ten games. Florida holds a 1-1-0 record all-time against the Bandits and a 1-1-0 record at TECO Arena. Forward John McNabb leads the team in scoring with 24-24-48. The Bandits power play ranks 26th in the ECHL and their penalty kill ranks 6th. Defenseman Dave Stewart ranks in second in the ECHL in penalty minutes with 253.

Kevin Brown scored 45 seconds into overtime as the Everblades defeated the Louisiana IceGators 6-5 in front of 6,095 at the Canjundome in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Sunday, February 2nd @ Pensacola Ice Pilots 6-7 SOL
The Florida Everblades (23-13-10) fell to the Pensacola Ice Pilots (26-17-5) 7-6 in a shootout in front of 2,866 at the Pensacola Civic Center on Sunday night. Forwards Gregor Baumgartner and Jamie Herrington each had two goals and forward Greg Pankewicz scored the game winning goal in the shootout to give the Ice Pilots the victory.

ECHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINATION: The Everblades ECHL player of the week nomination is forward Kevin Brown. The Birmingham, England native registered one goal and seven assists this past week. Brown lifted the Everblades over the Ice Gators on Saturday night after he notched the game winning goal in overtime. He also added 3 assists in that game and 3 assists on Sunday night.
ECHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK NOMINATION: The Everblades ECHL goaltender of the week nomination is Cam McCormick. The Kamloops, BC native was 1-0-0 this past week and stopped 32 of 37 shots in the Everblades 6-5 overtime win on Saturday night.
