
IceHogs Announce 2007-2008 AHL Schedule

Rockford, Ill.- The Rockford IceHogs, in conjunction with the American Hockey League, announced the club's 2007-08 regular season schedule on Tuesday. The IceHogs are entering its ninth season of professional hockey in Rockford, first season as the top affiliate of the National Hockey League's Chicago Blackhawks and first as members of the AHL.
Rockford's first ever AHL contest is slated for Saturday, Oct. 6 at the I-Wireless Center against the Quad City Flames at 7:05 p.m. Due to renovations taking place at the Rockford MetroCentre, the IceHogs will play its first nine games on the road.
After its nine-game road swing, Rockford drops the puck for the first time on home ice on Friday, Nov. 2 against the San Antonio Rampage at 7:30 p.m. The '07-08 regular season will conclude on Sunday, April 13 against the Iowa Stars at the MetroCentre. Rockford's first home game against Quad City falls on Friday, Nov. 23.
Of the IceHogs 40 home regular season affairs, 30 of them will fall on the weekend including 23 Friday-Saturday games. The Chicago Wolves and Milwaukee Admirals are the Hogs most frequent opponents as Rockford will play the West Division rivals 10 times each, including five each at home and on the road.
The Hogs also announced start times for the '07-08 regular season. Friday night games will begin at 7:30 p.m., Saturday and weekday start times are 7:05 p.m. and Sunday tilts will commence at 4:05 p.m. with the exception of Rockford's Sunday, Nov. 11 game against San Antonio, which will begin at 5:05 p.m.
Fans can purchase group tickets of 20 or more for all of Rockford's home games, including its six prime home dates on Friday, Nov. 2, Saturday, Nov. 3, Friday, Nov. 9, Saturday, Dec. 22, Saturday, Jan. 5 and Friday, Jan. 25.
