
Flames Unveil Schedule For Inaugural Season

Moline, IL- The Quad City Flames announced today the schedule for their inaugural season in the American Hockey League. The schedule features 80 regular season games (40 at home and 40 on the road). The home schedule breaks down to 10 Wednesdays, 13 Fridays, 10 Saturdays and 7 Sundays. Games on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday will begin at 7:05 p.m. Sunday games will start at 5:05 p.m. The team will play their first game on Saturday, October 6th at the i wireless Center in Moline, Illinois. A fellow AHL expansion squad, the Rockford IceHogs, will be the Opening Night opponent for the Flames.
The team plays a total of eight games during the season's first month including four games at the i wireless Center. On Sunday, October 7th, the Peoria Rivermen will be in the Quad Cities to cap Opening Weekend. The Flames first road trip begins in Milwaukee on Friday, October 12th. November marks the busiest month on the Flames schedule as the team is on the ice 15 times. The month begins with five consecutive home games followed by a five game road trip. The Flames start December at home vs. Manitoba before embarking on a five game road trip. The team returns to the Quad Cities for home games in four of their final six games during the month.
During January of 2008, the Flames are on home ice seven times including the inaugural visits from Grand Rapids, Toronto and Rochester. The month closes with the Flames' first international road trip as the team travels to Rochester before crossing the border to play Hamilton and Toronto. The Flames kick off February with their first trip to Houston to face the Aeros. The team is on home ice eight times during the month including six visits from divisional rivals and the first appearance at the i wireless Center by the defending Calder Cup Champion Hamilton Bulldogs.
The March schedule features nine Flames road games including a trip to Manitoba for the first time. The team will be at the i wireless Center four times in March including the first visit from the Lake Erie Monsters. In April, the Flames close out their inaugural regular season with eight games. The team plays their final regular season home game on Friday, April 11th vs. Iowa followed by a two-game trip to San Antonio to finish the season.
The Flames also announced their pre-season schedule for the upcoming season. The team will be on the ice in Peoria for their exhibition opener on Wednesday, September 26th. On Sunday, September 30th, the team makes its home debut at the i wireless Center with an exhibition game vs. Iowa at 5:05 p.m. The pre-season schedule wraps up on Monday, October 1st when the Flames are in Iowa.
The Quad City Flames will begin their inaugural season as the American Hockey League affiliate of the Calgary Flames on October 6th at the i wireless Center. Season tickets for Quad City Flames hockey are available now! Lower bowl season tickets are $500 and upper bowl season tickets are $340.
