Binghamton Senators News Release

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators will open the American Hockey League's regular season at home for the second consecutive year, as they welcome the Albany River Rats to the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 7:05 p.m.

The B-Sens will host the defending Calder Cup champion Hamilton Bulldogs twice this season, with the first contest scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 17 at 7:05 p.m. The Bulldogs return to Binghamton on Wednesday, March 26 at 7:05 p.m. Binghamton wraps up the season on the road against defending Eastern Conference champion Hershey on Sunday, Apr. 13 at 5:00 p.m.

Binghamton will once again play its traditional holiday contests on Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve at home. The Senators host the Rochester Americans on Thursday, Nov. 22 at 6:05 p.m. and the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Monday, Dec. 31 at 6:05 p.m.

The Senators will play 30 home games on Friday and Saturday nights, an increase of two home games from last season. Sunday games have decreased from 14 last season to nine this season, with the Senators hosting their lone Sunday contest against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Sunday, March 2 at 5:05 p.m.

February and March will be the busiest months of the season for Binghamton, as each month has 14 games scheduled. The Senators play eight of their 13 games at home in the month of November.

The 2007-08 schedule will also include one home game to be played away from Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. On Friday, Jan. 25, Binghamton will host the Toronto Marlies at the Utica Memorial Auditorium at 7:05 p.m.

"Preparations for the 2008 AHL All-Star Classic will preclude the Senators from playing a home game on Friday, Jan. 25 or Saturday, Jan. 26," said Tom Mitchell, the Senators executive vice president of operations. "We were successful in moving the Saturday, Jan. 26 game to another date at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. We were unable to move the Friday, Jan. 25 game due to scheduling conflicts at the Arena and with the Toronto Marlies. Once we exhausted all other options the decision to move the game to Utica was made."

Season ticket holders will be issued a refund for their ticket(s) to the Jan. 25 game in Utica. The refund can in turn be applied to choice seats at the Utica Memorial Auditorium that will be held exclusively for B-Sens season ticket holders. Further details of the refund and information on single-game tickets will be announced at a later date.

2007-08 Binghamton Senators' season tickets, half-season, coupon books, 10 game & 5 game plans are on sale!!! Fans can purchase tickets at the Binghamton Senators executive office, third floor of the Arena (Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.), or by calling (607) 722-SENS.
