Last Weeks Highlights:
2/8/05 > Long Beach 2 @ Las Vegas 1 (OT)
The Ice Dogs won their second in a row last Tuesday night, defeating the Las Vegas Wranglers by a score of 2-1 in overtime. The Wranglers struck first in the opening period, holding a 1-0 advantage before Joe Cardarelli tied it up for Long Beach just 47 seconds into the second. After a scoreless third period, the game went into sudden death overtime where Marco Rosa notched the game winner 2:27 in. Olivier Michaud got the win, making 36 saves, including 19 in the first period alone.
2/11/05 > Long Beach 3 @ San Diego 5
Going for their third consecutive win, the Ice Dogs came up short Friday night, falling to the San Diego Gulls by a score of 5-3. Christian Larrivee got the Ice Dogs on the board first, scoring a power play goal 11:05 into the first. The game went back and forth with Nathan Martz and Chris Kenady also getting goals as the score was 3-3 after two. However, the Gulls took a 4-3 lead in the third period and added an empty netter to win the game. Chris Madden had 27 saves in the loss.
2/12/05 > Long Beach 4 @ Bakersfield 5 (OT)
With first place on the line, the Ice Dogs came into Bakersfield Saturday night and got out to an early start. They scored all four goals in the first period to take 4-0 lead. Matt Shasby and Nathan Martz each tallied, while Marco Rosa got two. However, Bakersfield came back to score three in the second and another in the third to send it into overtime. The Condors then scored 44 seconds into the extra frame when Joe Cardarelli was assessed a slashing penalty and ten minute misconduct. Chris Madden got the start again, this time making 34 saves.

The Ice Dogs will try to regain first place in the West Division this weekend, heading to Las Vegas on Friday night. The Ice Dogs are 3-0-1 against the Wranglers this season and are currently one point behind Bakersfield for the division lead.
2/19/05 > Long Beach @ Las Vegas
The Ice Dogs and Wranglers will go at it again on Saturday night in the second game of a two game series. Joe Cardarelli has 6 points in 4 games versus the Wranglers this season.
2/20/05 > Long Beach @ Bakersfield
The Ice Dogs and Condors will battle it out again Sunday for first place supremacy. The Ice Dogs are 3-1-2 against Bakersfield this season.
