St. John\'s Sends Back Underhill

BILOXI, Miss. – The Mississippi Sea Wolves of the ECHL announced today that goaltender Matt Underhill has been reassigned to the team by the St. John's Maple Leafs of the American Hockey League.

Underhill, 25, appeared in one game in relief with St. John's playing in 38:32 of action on February 11 vs. Manitoba, making all 17 saves before falling 4-3 in the seventh round of the shootout. The 6-foot-2 and 220-pound Underhill has played in 23 games with Mississippi this season posting a 13-7-3 record with three shutouts, a 2.54 goals-against average and .926 save percentage. A native of Campbell River, British Columbia, Underhill was selected by the Calgary Flames in the sixth round, 170th overall in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.

Mississippi starts a three-game road trip at 6 p.m. CT on Thursday against the Pee Dee Pride at Florence, South Carolina. The Sea Wolves next home game is at 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22 against the Columbia Inferno at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.
