
Royals stay in the thick of Northern Division race with three wins

The Reading Royals won both games they played this week. The Royals won for the first time this season in Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on Saturday afternoon. The 4-2 come-from-behind victory was the first time Reading overcame a deficit after two periods. Reading battled Toledo on Sunday, and ended a two-game slide against the Storm with a 6-2 victory at home. The Royals are tied with Trenton in third place in the North Division.
Reading finishes the month of February with back-to-back four game weeks. Reading hosts Trenton in a rescheduled game on Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. The first 2,500 fans receive a Ryan Kinasewich action card courtesy of Diamond Credit Union, plus the Royals will be wearing special Canadian sweaters. Friday, Reading hosts Atlantic City at 7:05 p.m. Labatt beer steins will be given away to the first 1,200 fans, 21-and-over, through the Sovereign Center gates. The Royals travel to Trenton on Saturday to battle the Titans at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, Reading returns home to host Wheeling at 5:05 p.m. It's the second edition of Royals trading cards courtesy of Rieck's Printing. The first 2,500 fans receive the five card set and it's Comcast Family Four Pack Night, as well...Four tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas for just $44.
LAST WEEK Saturday, February 13 @ Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall 2:05PM ET GAME NOTES: The Royals won for the first time in Boardwalk Hall and first time when trailing after 40-minutes of play. Veteran Larry Courville led the charge with two power-play goals in the third period, while Barry Brust stopped 29 shots to give Reading a 4-2 win. The Royals improved to 2-2-1 versus Atlantic City on the season.
Sunday, February 14 vs. Toledo Sovereign Center 5:05PM ET GAME NOTES: Reading broke a two-game slide versus Toledo with a 6-2 victory. The Royals calmed the Storm early with four first period goals to build a 4-1 advantage after 20-minutes of hockey. Graig Mischler led the charge tying a individual season high four-point afternoon (1g, 3a). Captain Cail MacLean and Eric Fortier each added a goal and an assist.
THIS WEEK Tuesday, February 15 vs. Trenton Sovereign Center 7:05PM ET GAME NOTES: This game was originally expected to take place on Saturday, January 22 at 7:05 p.m. The game was postponed due to inclement weather. This is the seventh meeting between these two clubs. The Titans handled the Royals on February 6th in Trenton, 4-1. The Royals are 2-4-0 against the Titans this season.
Friday, February 18 vs. Atlantic City Sovereign Center 7:05PM ET GAME NOTES: The Royals won for the first time in Boardwalk Hall six days ago, 4-2. Reading has skated to a 1-1-0 record thus far in the Sovereign Center. This is the third meeting of five scheduled in Reading this season. Overall, Reading is 11-17-4 versus the Bullies.
Saturday, February 19 @ Trenton Sovereign Bank Arena 7:00PM ET GAME NOTES: After winning two in a row against their closest geographical rival, the Royals dropped a 4-1 decision to the Titans on Sunday, February 6. This game marks the second in just five days between these two clubs. Reading travels to Trenton just one more time in the regular campaignon March 26. This is the eighth meeting between the Titans and Royals.
Sunday, February 20 vs. Wheeling Sovereign Center 5:05PM ET GAME NOTES: The Royals finish the week with another Sunday afternoon contest with the Wheeling Nailers. Reading and Wheeling have already battled seven times this season with the Royals a slight 4-3-0 edge in the regular season campaign.

Barry Brust broke out of a personal three-game losing streak to record two wins this week. Brust slowed down Atlantic City on Saturday afternoon, 4-2, recording 29 saves. He finished with 22 stops on Sunday in the Royals 6-2 victory over Toledo.

Larry Courville tallied three goals, two on the power play and one game winner this week. Courville accounted for two third period markers against Atlantic City on Saturday in Boardwalk Hall to bring his team back from a one-goal deficit heading into the final stanza. The Timmins, Ontario native scored the first goal on Sunday to lift Reading over Toledo, 6-2.
