Titans stay undefeated in regulation

TRENTON, NJ - The Trenton Titans went 2-0-1 over their week of play to help pull themselves up the North Division standings.

The Titans began the week on the right foot with a 5-2 win over the Johnstown Chiefs on Wednesday. On Friday, the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies were able to come from behind and defeat Trenton 3-2 in the shootout. The Titans stayed undefeated in regulation over the weekend with a 3-2 victory over the Dayton Bombers on Sunday.

Trenton will play five games in six days this week as they travel to Reading on Tuesday to face the Royals in the rematch of their game postponed on January 22. The Titans hit the ice at Sovereign Bank Arena to take on the Toledo Storm on Wednesday and Friday and the Royals on Saturday. Trenton finishes up its three-day, three-game weekend on Sunday against the Johnstown Chiefs at the Cambria County War Memorial.

The Trenton Titans are tied for third place in the North Division with the Reading Royals and trail the Boardwalk Bullies by just one point.

- Brent Robinson and Scott Bertoli each scored two goals to help pace Trenton to a 5-2 victory over the Johnstown Chiefs. Robinson and Nick Deschenes lit the lamp give the Titans a 2-0 lead, but Mike James and Jeff Sullivan answered for Johnstown to tie the score 2-2 after one. Bertoli's sixteenth of the season at 2:06 of the second period put his squad ahead for good. Andrew Allen won his third start in a row stopping 25 shots.

Friday, February 11 @ Atlantic City T 3-2 (SOL)
Boardwalk Hall
- Fraser Clair tallied a shorthanded goal for Atlantic City 31 seconds into the third period to tie the score 2-2 and send the game into overtime. After a scoreless extra session, Trevor Koenig stopped all four Titans shooters while Clair scored the eventual game-winning goal in the shootout lead the Bullies to a 3-2 win.

Sunday, February 13 @ Dayton, 2:00pm W 3-2
Nutter Center
- Leon Hayward had his first two-goal game of the year, as the Titans were victorious over the Dayton Bombers 3-2. Chris Houle set Titans season-highs for saves in a game (48) and saves in a period (24, 3rd). Michael Schutte potted his first goal for Trenton, while Michael Chin contributed an assist for his first point in a Titans' uniform. All five games against the Bombers this season have been decided by one goal.

- The make-up game for the contest originally scheduled on January 22 and the seventh match out of ten for the Titans and Royals. Rick Kowalsky has recorded 4 goals and 4 assists in six games versus Reading this season. Trenton leads the season series 4-2-0.

- Game five in the nine-game season series. Andrew Allen and Chris Houle are both 2-0-0 against Toledo with a combined GAA of 1.75 and save percentage of .935.

- The sixth game of the year against Toledo. Brent Robinson has 7 points (2g, 5g) and 2 game-winning goals in four games versus the Storm. Trenton leads the all-time series 17-2-1.

- The eighth match of ten for the two squads. Reading is +37 in goal differential over the first and second period. The Titans lead the all-time series 22-7-6.

- Game seven out of ten versus the Chiefs. The Titans are +27 over six matches against Johnstown this season. Trenton holds the 27-13-4 advantage in the all-time series.
