
Gwinnett Stripers Homestand Highlights: July 4-8

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The Gwinnett Stripers will square off against International League South Division rivals Norfolk and Charlotte during a five-game homestand at Coolray Field from Wednesday, July 4 through Sunday, July 8.
The Norfolk Tides, Triple-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, return for a quick two-game series July 4-5. Wednesday, July 4 is sure to be packed with patriotic flair as the Stripers will wear Independence Day-themed jerseys (presented by Republic Services and Operation One Voice). Fans will be able to bid on the game-worn specialty jerseys with proceeds going to Operation One Voice, which supports the families of Special Operations Forces. Several events with military members will take place before the game, including a special Flag Raising Ceremony with Master Sergeant Keiven Favor and Sergeant First Class Robert Herendeen. After the game, fans can stick around for a Post-Game Fireworks display (presented by Republic Services).
The Charlotte Knights, Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, come to Lawrenceville for a three-game weekend series before the Triple-A All-Star break. Friday, July 6 will feature another Post-Game Fireworks display. Saturday, July 7 is Margaritaville Night at Coolray Field. Relax in your most comfortable beach attire and enjoy a steel drum band before the game, as well as tropical-themed promotions between innings. Sunday, July 8 is another Sunday Funday (presented by Georgia United Credit Union) as fans can play catch on the field prior to the game and kids can run the bases after the game.

§ Independence Day Specialty Jersey Auction (presented by Republic Services and Operation One Voice) - The Stripers will show off the stars and stripes when they suit up in special Independence Day-themed jerseys. Fans in attendance can bid on the game-worn jerseys, with proceeds going to Operation One Voice.
§ Uncle Jack's Gift Card Giveaway - The first 3,500 fans 21 and over in attendance will receive a $10 gift card to Uncle Jack's Meat House in Duluth.
§ Post-Game Fireworks (presented by Republic Services) - Stick around after the game as we end the Fourth of July celebrations with a patriotic Fireworks display!

Sunday Funday (presented by Georgia United Credit Union) - Fans are invited to play catch on the field before the game starting at 12:05 p.m. and lasting approximately 20 minutes. Before and during the game, fans can get their faces painted. And after the game, kids (ages 12 and under) are welcome to run the bases to cap "Sunday Funday" presented by Georgia United Credit Union!
Breathless Blowout (presented by Breathless IPF) - Minor League Baseball and Boehringer Ingelheim are teaming up to raise awareness of the rare lung disease idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). Fans exiting the stadium will receive bubblegum pieces and information cards about IPF.
