Grizzlies Look For Back-to-Back Wins Against the Moose

November 15, 2003 - ECHL (ECHL)
Utah Grizzlies News Release

West Valley City - The Utah Grizzlies will battle the Manitoba Moose in the second of a two-game series Saturday night at the 'E' Center. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 pm. The first 2,000 fans will receive seat cushions courtesy of your "Heart of the West Ford Stores".

The Grizzlies (4-7-1-2) will be trying to put together their first winning streak of the year after a decisive 5-2 victory over the Moose on Wednesday. Though the Grizzlies trailed 1-0 after one period in that game, they scored three straight in the second period and then put the game out of reach in the third. Jarrod Skalde scored a goal and two assists in the victory giving him a team-leading ten points on the year. David Gove also notched three points (1-2 - 3).

Manitoba (3-10-3-1), who hadn't allowed five goals since October 24 versus Hamilton and who hasn't won since November 4 at Houston, hopes to turn the tables on the Grizzlies tonight. They will need the help of right winger Fedor Fedorov who was silenced by Utah on Wednesday. Fedorov leads the Moose with 13 points (7-6-13). Overall, Manitoba has just one win in their last 11 games.

Utah will continue their home stand with two games next week. The Grizzlies will meet the Worcester IceCats at the 'E' Center on both Thursday and Saturday.
