Barr, Bertoli Blast Storm

November 15, 2003 - ECHL (ECHL)
Trenton Devils News Release

The Trenton Titans skated into Sovereign Bank Arena tonight for the final game of their two-game home stand against the Toledo Storm. It was a game of firsts for the Titans as Scott Bertoli finally scored his long-awaited first goal of the season, Chris Barr scored his first professional goal and Chris Houle recorded his professional shuout.

The scoring started at 10:33 of the second period, when Bertoli took a pass from forward Joe Rybar and sent it past Toledo goalie Doug Teskey for his first tally of the season.

Later in the game, new Titans defenseman Chris Barr, acquired just yesterday from the Florence Pride, also took a pass from Rybar and put it in an empty net to nail the coffin shut. Chris Houle continued his stellar play in goal as he stopped all 34 shots for the win.

The Titans, now 7-5-1 and tied for fourth place in the Northern Division, face off against the Pacific Divsion leader Las Vegas Wranglers on Sunday, November 16th at 3:00pm. Come and celebrate Rivet's third birthday on Family Fun Sunday, where tickets for children 14 and under are only $1. Lanyards courtesy of the McIntosh Inn will also be given to the first 2000 fans. For ticket information, call a Titans Sales Representative at 609.599.9500.
