
Grizzlies Head Home From Cali Trip With 7-2 Win in Fresno

Fresno, California - Grizzlies come out strong against Falcons putting seven up on the board, including Keith Johnson's 5th and 6th of the 3- game trip.
The Grizzlies opened the scoring of the game and dominated the first period with three goals in the first. Johnson scored his 10th and 11th of the season to start off the game and late in the period Scott Burt deflected a shot from Andy Sertich to close the period up 3-0.
The scoring did not stop there as the Grizzlies kicked off the second period scoring with two more. First Sertich took a feed from Tyler Haskins in the slot and fired it home for a 4-0 lead. Then Olivier Labelle took a centering pass from Burt to give the Grizzlies a five-goal lead. Fresno finally broke through with less than a minute left to cut the Grizz lead to four.
Fresno kicked off the third period cutting the lead to three on a 5-on-3. The Grizzlies came back with two to bring it back to a five-goal lead. First Sertich scored his second of the game and then less than a minute later Micheal Haley added the final goal of the game for a 7-2 victory.
Nathan Lawson stopped 36 of 38 shots in his first start for the Grizzlies for the victory.
The Grizzlies return to the E-Center Wednesday, Friday and Saturday hosting Stockton as they open a ten-game home stand. All Grizzlies home games start at 7:05 p.m.
