Salmon Kings Have Defense Duo Returned

Victoria Salmon Kings News Release


Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today that the organization has received defensemen Daniel Rahimi and Matt Kelly from the Manitoba Moose.

Rahimi was promoted to the Moose on October 20th after he played in the season opener for the Salmon Kings in Idaho. The Canucks 2006 third round draft pick, 82nd overall, played in eight games for Manitoba collecting four minutes in penalties.

The Moose called Kelly up on November 11th. The Tottenham, ON native played in 3 games while with the Moose. In nine games for the Kings this season he contributed five assists while gaining 14 minutes in penalties.

Victoria's roster now sits at 21 players (11 forwards, 8 defenseman and 2 goalies).

The Salmon Kings open a home series against the Phoenix Roadrunners on Wednesday night at 7:05 p.m. at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. The Kings and Roadrunners play three games in three nights all games begin at 7:05 p.m.
