Mississippi Sea Wolves News Release

BILOXI, MS - The Mississippi Sea Wolves on Tuesday acquired forward Kyle McAllister from the Florida Everblades in exchange for the rights to forward Paul Caponigri.

Caponigri's rights belonged to Mississippi although the 28-year-old did not skate in a game with the Sea Wolves this season. The Oak Park, Illinois native began the season with the Texas Wildcatters where he saw action in two games, picking up one assist and six penalty minutes. Caponigri was then traded to the Stockton Thunder where he played in three games, registering two assists and two PIM before being released by the Thunder and claimed by Mississippi.

Caponigri is in his fifth professional season and his fourth in the ECHL. Last season was his lone professional campaign outside the ECHL after splitting the year between the Chicago Hounds and the Kalamazoo Wings of the United Hockey League. In 54 total games in 2006-07, Caponigri tallied 27 points (12g, 15a) and added 93 PIM. Prior to last season, the 5-foot, 10-inch winger skated with San Diego, Atlantic City, Johnstown and Idaho in his first three professional seasons.

McAllister skated in all 16 games for the Everblades this year. The 26-year-old rookie notched eight points (4g, 4a) and was a plus-3 rating for the Everblades. McAllister tallied his first professional goal on Oct. 19 vs. Mississippi.

The Sea Wolves next home game is Tuesday evening against the South Carolina Stingrays at 7:05 p.m. For tickets, stop by the Mississippi Coast Coliseum box office, the Sea Wolves office located on the first level of the Coliseum, or call 228.275.WOLF!
