Utah Grizzlies News Release
WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH - The Utah Grizzlies will begin a significant stretch on Friday night in determining what their playoff lives may hold. Utah will host the sliding Chicago Wolves (1-4-1 in their last six games) on Feb. 20th in a game that is already nearing a sell-out. Utah is currently eight points out of a playoff spot.
The Grizzlies will then conclude their current four-game home stand on Sunday afternoon, a 3:05 PM face-off, against the defending Calder Cup Champion Houston Aeros before heading out on the a 14-day journey that will see the team play eight games against eight different opponents beginning on February 25th at Chicago.
*We are very excited about Friday night's game versus the Wolves as it is going to be one of our biggest crowds of the season against one of our biggest rivals,* said Grizzlies Executive Vice-President Jerry McBurney. *I also know that our team is playing more confidently and that they will draw from the energy of what should be their biggest showcase of the season.*
A limited number of tickets are available so fans coming to the game on Friday are encouraged to arrive early to avoid lines and those that do not already have a ticket are encouraged to purchase in advance to avoid the ticket lines at the 'E' Center.
*We want everyone coming to the game on Friday to be here in time for the drop of the puck and with a near sell-out expected there is bound to be some congestion coming to the rink,* continued McBurney. *There are plenty of things to see and do at the 'E' Center so coming a little early will not only add to the family entertainment value but will assure the fans that they are comfortably in their seats when the Grizzlies score their first goal.*
Face-off for Friday's game is scheduled for 7:05 PM at the 'E' Center.
