Bulldogs face AHL's first place team in Friday

The Hamilton Bulldogs will challenge the AHL's first place team on Friday, February 20th, as they travel to Grand Rapids' Van Andel Arena to face the Griffins. The Bulldogs, who have 69 points are second overall in the AHL, and trail the Griffins by just three points.

Hamilton will also have a pair of home games on the weekend. The Bulldogs will host the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks on Saturday, February 21st (7:00 p.m.) and the Albany River Rats on Sunday, February 22nd (4:00 p.m.)

BULLDOGS RECORD 30TH WIN:
The Hamilton Bulldogs recorded their 30th win of the season on Sunday when they defeated the Manitoba Moose 4-2 at Copps Coliseum. The victory marked the fifth time in the Bulldogs eight year history in Hamilton they had recorded 30 or more wins in a season.

HOME-SWEET-HOME:
The Bulldogs earned their AHL leading 19th home victory of the season on Sunday. Last season, the Bulldogs earned a franchise high 26 home-ice wins.

BULLDOGS NOTES:
The Bulldogs are the AHL's third least penalized team as they have tallied an average of just 15.82 penalty minutes per game ... Jozef Balej is currently tied for fourth in AHL scoring with 54 points (24-30-54) ... Balej is tied with Manchester's Pavel Rosa and Milwaukee's Timofei Shishkanov for the top plus/minus rating at (+20) ... the Bulldogs Jean-Philippe Cote is second in AHL plus/minus with a (+19) rating ... forward Tomas Plekanec is second in AHL game-winning goals with six ... captain Benoit Gratton has the Bulldogs best shooting percentage at 26.3% ... Marcel Hossa has recorded five goals in the last five games.
