Grizzlies Get Oliver Back From Dallas

WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH (Apr. 1, 2003) - The Utah Grizzlies National Hockey League (NHL) affiliate, the Dallas Stars, announced today that right wing David Oliver has been re-assigned to the Grizzlies.

Oliver, 31, has played in 33 games for Utah scoring 11 goals and adding 12 assists. The veteran from Sechelt, British Columbia missed 29 games through December, January and February after having surgery to repair a hernia. Prior to the surgery, Oliver had notched eight points (4G, 4A) in 19 games. In 14 games following the surgery, Oliver totaled 15 points (7G, 8A).

The 6-0, 195 pound right wing was called up to Dallas on two separate occasions with the most recent time coming on March 12th. In six games with the Stars, Oliver contributed three assists. He had been a healthy scratch in each of the Star's last five games.

Oliver will join the Grizzlies in time for tomorrow's game against Grand Rapids at the E-Center. Face-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
