Assistant Coach Steps Down From Post

(Reading, PA) â The Reading Royals have formally accepted the resignation of Assistant Coach Mike LaZazzera. Prior to joining Reading, LaZazzera had worked as an advance scout for the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League. The former ECHL head coach said he wants to pursue a head coaching opportunity.
"I appreciate Reading and Ray Delia for giving me an opportunity to work with the Royals. It is my strong desire to pursue my goals of becoming a head coach in pro hockey, whether it be the East Coast or another professional league," LaZazzera said.
"Mike's service to our organization was much appreciated. We wish him well in finding a head coaching position," commented General Manager Ray Delia.
