April 1, 2003 - ECHL (ECHL)
Trenton Devils News Release
Trenton, NJ â The Trenton Titans Professional Hockey Team announced today that their affiliation with the Philadelphia Flyers has been extended through the 2004-05 season.
The Titans four-year relationship with the Flyers has helped produce current NHL players such as Todd Fedoruk, Jesse Boulerice (Carolina Hurricanes) and Ruslan Fedotenko (Tampa Bay). This is the first time that a two-year affiliation has been inked.
"We are extremely happy with our affiliation in Trenton," stated Flyers' Assistant General Manager Paul Holmgren. "The Titans organization has done a fine job with our players, and we look forward to continuing our relationship for years to come."
The Titans current Kelly Cup Playoff roster features four Flyers prospects including, defenseman Ian Forbes, and forwards Eric Betournay, Jeff Smith and Matt Zultek. All have played an integral part in the success of the 2002-03 squad, which will begin its opening round playoff series in Atlantic City on Wednesday.
"The Trenton Titans organization is very pleased that the Philadelphia Flyers have showed the confidence in us to re-sign our affiliation for the next two seasons," said Titans' President and General Manager Richard Lisk. "We hope to continue to develop players who can one day contribute to the Flyers at the National Hockey League level."
Tickets are on sale now for Game 3, Monday April 7, of the best-of-5 series with Atlantic City at the Sovereign Bank Arena box office, all TicketMaster outlets or charge by phone at (609) 520-8383. Fans can also purchase through www.trentontitans.com. Game time is 7 pm.
