It's 'Macaroni for Macker' during playoffs

Lafayette, LA â The Louisiana IceGators and winger Shawn McNeil are asking fans to bring in boxed macaroni and cheese or other pasta as part of the team's "Macaroni for Macker" playoff promotion.
Fans can shake their items as noisemakers during the games, then leave the box in the front lobby to be donated to an Acadiana charity of McNeil's choice at the conclusion of the playoffs.
The IceGators will have collection boxes after each game, allowing fans to either keep their pasta from game to game or donate boxes at each game.
Louisiana opens up the 2003 Kelly Cup Playoffs against Arkansas in the Southwest Division Semifinals. Game 1 is set for Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. at the Cajundome, while Game 2 is at 7:05 p.m. on Thursday. The series shifts to North Little Rock for Games 3 and 4 (Game 4 if necessary) Saturday and Sunday, then back to the Cajundome on Wednesday, April 9, for Game 5, if necessary, at 7:05 p.m.
McNeil is the IceGators' third all-time leading goal scorer with 134 goals. This season, he had a career best 40 goals and 91 points and made the All-ECHL Second Team.
