Grizzlies Defeat Alaska 6-3

West Valley City, Utah - Tyler Haskins had two goals and two assists as the Utah Grizzlies (21-19-0-4) defeated the Alaska Aces 6-3 Thursday night at the E-Center.

The Grizzlies jumped to a 2-0 lead in the first period and never looked back with Scott Burt (17) and Keith Johnson (18) scoring for Utah.

Entering the second period 2-1, Utah added goals from Tyler Haskins (12) and Ryan Kinasewich (9) to make it 4-1 before Alaska added another late goal in the period to make it 4-2 entering the third.

In the third, Utah scored shorthanded twice with Haskins (12) and James Sanford (5) getting goals as the Grizzlies held on 6-3.

Mike Mole stopped 19 of 22 shots in the game for his eleventh win of the year.

Kinasewich finished the evening with one goal and one assist.

The Grizzlies have now won two games in a row and are unbeaten in their last three games overall.

The Grizzlies will meet Alaska again Friday and Saturday at the E-Center. Face-off both evenings is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
