Grizzlies Come Back Big: Down 3-1, Win 5-3

West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies (31-29-2-8) were down in the first half of the game 3-1, but got a strong effort from Ryan Kinasewich, Rob Sirianni, and Scott Burt to take down the Thunder 5-3.

Stockton broke open the scoring 15:53 into the first when Brian Lee converted on the power-play. Just under two and a half minutes later, the Grizzlies equaled the score when Justin Bourne scored his 16th of the year from Jordan Hart and Sean Offers on the power-play.

Stockton jumped up early in the first ten minutes of the second period connecting with two in a row to take a 3-1 lead. The Grizzlies answered back with two of their own before the end of the period to equal the score at three. First, Kinasewich scored his 22nd of the year and Hart added his second assist of the game on the goal. Then, Burt scored his 26th of the year from Sirianni and Kinasewich.

Utah took their first lead of the game 4:22 into the third when Sirianni scored his 13th of the season from Burt. With 27 seconds left, Kinasewich scored his second of the game into an empty-net on the power-play to seal the game.

Nathan Lawson was great in his return from an injury, stopping 21 of 24 shots in his first game since March 2. The Grizzlies complete their 2007-2008 regular season Friday and Saturday hosting Stockton at the E-Center. Face-off both nights is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Utah has clinched a playoff berth for the second time in three seasons. The ECHL's Kelly Cup playoffs are scheduled to begin Sunday, April 13 in Fresno with the Grizzlies scheduled to play at home in the postseason's first-round Wednesday, April 16; Friday, April 18 and Saturday, April 19*.
