Thunder Reassigned All-Star Micflikier, Bisaillon

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Edmonton Oilers and American Hockey League's Springfield Falcons, announced rookie left wing Jacob Micflikier (Mick-FLICK-er) and rookie defenseman Sebastien Bisaillon (suh-BAS-tee-yen, Bee-SY-yoan) have been re-assigned from Springfield to the Thunder.

Micflikier and Bisaillon will re-join the Thunder on its four-game road trip on Friday, when the Thunder faces the Utah Grizzlies at 6:05 p.m. PT from The E-Center. Micflikier will wear jersey number 9 and Bisaillon will don jersey number 27.

Micflikier, 23, was named to the National Conference roster for the 2008 Chase Chevrolet ECHL All-Star Game in December before his recall, leading the Thunder and ranking third among ECHL rookies in scoring with 33 points (10g-23a) in 27 games, along with a +3 rating. Micflikier also led all ECHL rookies with 22 assists. The 5-foot-8, 180-pound left wing spent time in 2007-08 NHL training camp with the Oilers and appeared in nine games last year in the AHL with Springfield, scoring four points (3g-1a).

The Winnipeg, Manitoba native helped guide New Hampshire to four consecutive appearances in the NCAA Frozen Four national championship tournament and was the fifth leading active scorer in the entire NCAA heading into 2006-07 postseason play. Micflikier had a career-high 44 points (20g-24a) in 42 games as a 2004-05 sophomore, ranking third on the Wildcats in scoring and led the program with 42 points (16g-26a) in 37 games as a 2005-06 junior, earning the team's Most Valuable Player award.

Bisaillon, 21, has scored four goals and two assists in five games this year with the Thunder and has scored 10 points (3g-7a) in 21 games with Springfield. Bisaillon appeared in two regular season games with the Oilers last year, making his NHL debut on March 19 against the Vancouver Canucks and spent time this season in training camp with Edmonton, appearing in one preseason game (2-1 win at Phoenix on September 25).

The Mont-Laurier, Quebec native spent five seasons (2002-07) of his junior hockey career with the Val d'Or Foreurs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, scoring 189 points (66g-123a) in 263 career games and scored 18 points (4g-14a) in 32 career playoff games.

The Thunder has led the ECHL in attendance for two consecutive seasons and drew 239,337 fans to Stockton Arena in 2007-08.
