
Royals and 107.5 FrankFM Ready To Rock The Playoffs

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, in conjunction with 107.5 FrankFM, announced today that they will be hosting a 2008 Kelly Cup Playoffs "Tailgate Party" prior to the Royals first home playoff game on Saturday, April 12th. The party, which will be held from 4:00pm - 6:00pm in the "flat" parking lot located between 7th and 8th Streets on Penn Street, will feature live music from local rock band The Left Edge (www.theleftedge.com). Fans are encouraged to bring their own seating, food, and beverages to enjoy during the party.
The Royals will face the Elmira Jackals in the first round of the 2008 Kelly Cup Playoffs. The series will kick-off in Elmira, NY on Friday, April 11th at 7:30pm. Game Two will be at the Sovereign Center on Saturday, April 12th for a 7:05pm puck drop. The full first round playoff schedule can be viewed at www.royalshockey.com. The Royals return to action on Friday night (April 4; 7:05 pm) when the Cincinnati Cyclones visit the Sovereign Center for Fan Appreciation Night. As part of the festivities, the first 5,000 fans will receive a Fans Choice Matt Herneisen mini-bobblehead, courtesy of Comcast. In addition, fans will have the opportunity to win other great prizes, including a vacation for four thanks to Boscov's travel. The game night broadcast on Wednesday will begin at 6:35 pm with the pre-game warm-up show on ESPN Radio 1240 am in Ephrata, as well as on the internet through the Royals' website, www.royalshockey.com. Streaming video is available on a pay per view basis through the B2 Networks.
