Reading, PA - Despite firing 26 shots on goal, the Solar Bears could not solve G Riley Gill as they fell 3-0 to the Reading Royals at the Sovereign Center on Friday night.

Neither side was able to strike in the opening frame, as both Orlando and Reading ended the period with eight shots on goal. The Royals were able to open up the scoring in the second period, however, when F Julien Cayer finished off a pass from F Ethan Cox on the top of the crease 6:08 into the second frame. F Yannick Tifu increased the Royals lead to 2-0 when he snapped a shot from the top of the right circle on the power play 11:31. Reading outshot the Solar Bears 17-9 during the middle period.

The two sides continued to skate to a 2-0 score late into the third period. Orlando pulled G Zoltan Hetenyi in an effort to make a late push, but F Nikita Kashirsky ended the Orlando threat with an empty net goal with 39 seconds left to play to give Reading a 3-0 victory.

D Michael Jordan made his Solar Bears debut tonight... F Michael Lysyj made his Solar Bears debut tonight... Orlando played their fourth and final game of the season against the Royals today... The Solar Bears skated one skater short of the maximum allowed 16 dressed players... G Zoltan Hetenyi started his third straight game... The Solar Bears played their first road game since February 9, and played their first game outside of Florida since January 27.

Solar Bears Add Jordan, Lysyj:

The Orlando Solar Bears announced today that they have agreed to terms with D Michael Jordan and F Michael Lysyj.

Jordan (5'10", 165 lbs.) attended training camp with the Solar Bears and played in both preseason games against the Florida Everblades. He has played in 21 games with the Danville Dashers in the Federal Hockey League (FHL) this season, collecting 10 points on four goals and six assists. He has also played in three games in the Fort Wayne Komets this season.

Lysyj (6'4", 205 lbs.) has spent the last four seasons (2009-2013) with the SUNY-Cortland Red Dragons. In 25 games with Cortland this season, Lysyj has scored 18 goals and added 15 assists for 33 points. The Hillsborough, NJ, native has played 96 games over a four-year career at SUNY-Cortland, scoring 39 goals along with 38 assists for 77 points.
