TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: Tonight's matchup is the third and final regular season meeting between Adirondack and the Wheeling Nailers. The teams have split the previous two contests, with Wheeling winning the most recent matchup on Friday, beating the Thunder 5-2 at the Glens Falls Civic Center. Tonight's game is a brief stop home for the Thunder, as they head back out on the road with trips to Elmira, Brampton and Manchester over the course of the next week.

THE SKID STOPS HERE: Adirondack ended its three game losing streak with a 4-1 victory over the Reading Royals on Sunday in Pennsylvania. The team was led by multi-point performances from Ryan Lomberg, Michael Kirkpatrick and Dana Fraser, in addition to a 27-save performance from netminder Garrett Bartus for his first win with the Thunder.

THIRD GAME THRILL: With Sunday's win in Reading, the Thunder improved to 4-0-1-0 in third game in three nights scenarios this season, earning 9 out of a possible 10 points in the process. Adirondack will get its chance to improve on that mark this upcoming weekend when they take on the Brampton Beast after playing on Friday and Saturday in Elmira against the Jackals.

QUINSANITY: Thunder newcomer Quinn Smith brings a two-game scoring streak into tonight's game collecting points in both contests against Reading this past weekend. Smith scored the lone goal on Saturday night, followed up with an assist on Gunnar Hughes' first period goal on Sunday. Smith, who joined the Thunder last week, has now appeared in 23 ECHL games this season with Adirondack, Missouri and Norfolk.

LOMBERG LETTUCE: Since he was reassigned to the Thunder earlier in the month, Ryan Lomberg has collected four points (2-2-4) to go along with a +3 rating over six games. On the season, the Richmond Hill, ONT native has tallied 16 points (8-8-16) and a +9 rating with Adirondack this season. Lomberg's point totals are fifth on the team among active skaters despite appearing in just 19 games.

DEVIL OF A TIME: The Thunder will have reinforcements on hand for tonight's game as defenseman Joe Faust and forward Ben Johnson were assigned from the Albany Devils this morning. Faust had been a mainstay on the Adirondack blueline this season with 35 games played, while Johnson brought six points (3-3-6) in 12 games played. The Michigan native Johnson also collected an AHL assist on February 5 against Providence.

IT'S KIRKPATRICKY: Michael Kirkpatrick notched his 20th assist of the season in Sunday's win, which tied him with Mitchell Heard for the team lead. Kirkpatrick also netted his 19th goal, which leads the team. The North Sydney, NS native has 39 points (19-20-39) in 47 games played this season, which has him tied for fifth in rookie scoring in the ECHL, in addition to among the top 25 among scorers league wide.
