Jardine Returned to Fuel

ROCKFORD, IL - The American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs announced that they have reassigned defenseman Sam Jardine to the Indy Fuel (ECHL).

The 22-year-old Jardine returns to the Fuel after appearing in three games during his most recent stint with the IceHogs. In all, he has appeared in six games for Rockford this season. Originally selected in round six (169th overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, the Lacobme, AB native has appeared in 30 games with the Fuel, posting a goal and two assists.

Jardine is expected to join the Fuel before tomorrow night's game in Orlando against the Solar Bears.

The Fuel will now play the Solar Bears Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday night to round out a six-game road trip. The Morellis Cleaners pre-game show starts 15 minutes before puck drop on CBS Sports 1430. Indy's next home game is Tuesday, February 23 against the Missouri Mavericks at 7:05 pm.
