Tulsa Oilers News Release
Tulsa, OK - Tulsa, OK--The Tulsa Oilers announce Safelite Autoglass Night benefiting the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma this Friday, February 19, when the Oilers host the Evansville Icemen.
The first 1,000 (ages 13 & up) through the doors of the BOK Center will receive a Tulsa Oilers jersey courtesy of Satelife Autoglass.
Friday, Safelite will be hosting a food drive inside the BOK Center. Each food item donated will earn a raffle ticket for a drawing to win a team autographed Oilers jersey. Raffle tickets can be purchased or can be obtained with a non-perishable food donation.
That's not all! Limited edition special event pucks will be available with all proceeds going to the Food Bank. When you buy a puck for $10, you will be helping the food bank provide 40 meals for those in need.
This season will be Safelite's fourth with the Oilers and fourth working with the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.
"The cool thing is we're mixing two worlds," said Nathan Paul, Safelite Autoglass' Tulsa Market District Manager. Annually, the Tulsa Oilers and Safelite Autoglass teams get together to volunteer hours at the food bank.
The Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma is the largest, private hunger-relief organization in eastern Oklahoma. The food bank provides food and other donated product to 450 Partner Programs in 24 counties of eastern Oklahoma. Together, they provide more than 346,000 meals to hungry Oklahomans each week.
"The Oilers fan response [each year] is phenomenal."
Come join the Oilers in this important cause and watch them take on the Icemen for the first time this season! Doors open at 6 p.m. For information and tickets, call 918-632-PUCK.
