TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: The Adirondack Thunder are back in action on home ice for the second straight day. Adirondack began its weekend three-in-three last evening as it was defeated 5-4 by the Manchester Monarchs, dropping three points behind Manchester for the North Division lead in the process.

TUG OF WARD: Thunder forward Brian Ward tallied twice last evening as he scored the game's first two goals in the opening period. Ward's multi-goal was his second of the season as he matched his two-goal output from January 26 against Florida. The second-year center has now amassed 24 goals this season to top the Thunder roster and, with his first tally, he became the first player in franchise history to score 50 goals.

PAUL JOHN PAUL: Adirondack forward Paul Rodrigues collected a goal and an assist in last night's defeat, his fifth multi-point game of the season. Rodrigues collected a power-play goal late in the second period, his first tally on the man advantage this season. The Oswego State product became the tenth Thunder player to hit double digits in goals and has now amassed 23 total points (10-13-23) on the season.

DYNAMIC DMEN: Thunder defensemen Mathieu Brodeur and Dylan Olsen each collected a pair of assists in last evening's defeat. Both defensemen tallied two points on the power play and Olsen moved into a tie for second on the team with 13 power-play points (2-11-13) on the season. Brodeur's helpers marked his 21st and 22nd on the season, moving him one shy of Desmond Bergin for the team lead amongst blueliners.

TROJANS OF TROY: Adirondack forward Troy Bourke scored a goal in the first period as he extended his home scoring streak to eight games. Bourke has collected a point in 10 of the 11 games he's played in this season and has now tallied 19 total points (7-12-19). The Onaway, ONT native has tallied 1.73 points-per-game with the Thunder, the highest mark in the ECHL amongst all skaters this season.

WE GOT THAT POWER: The Thunder converted on two of their three power-play opportunities last evening, their first multi-goal power play effort since January 27. The Thunder have now scored multiple power-play goals in a game 12 times this season. Overall, Adirondack has converted at a 19.4 clip on the man advantage, the second highest percentage in the Eastern Conference.

MAKING MOVES: The Thunder were active at Thursday's trade deadline as they added forward Kenton Miller in a trade with Rapid City, as well as defenseman Adam Larkin from Yale University. Miller has amassed 21 goals and 41 points with the Rush this season and led the team in goals at the time of the trade. Larkin, who made his professional debut last evening, skated in 126 career games with the Bulldogs.
