Game Preview: Stingrays Wrap up Three-Game in Three-Day Set Tonight vs. Evansville

North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays host the Evansville IceMen tonight at 7:05 at the North Charleston Coliseum. After the contest, the Stingrays join the South Carolina Advocates for Epilepsy and MUSC Neurosciences for a Hockey Heroes for Epilepsy Preview Party at Ms. Rose's in Charleston. Hockey Heroes for Epilepsy Night featuring purple awareness jerseys, live postgame jersey auction and silent auction is Saturday, November 16 at 7:05 against the Florida Everblades at the Coliseum.

Note of the Night:

Last night, the Stingrays saw their season-high eight-game winning streak come to a close in a 3-2 overtime loss to Evansville, but the standings point extended the team's unbeaten streak to 10 contests (8-0-1-1).

Leading the Way:

Forward Jordan Owens pushed his personal point streak to five games (four goals, two assists) with an assist on forward Andrew Cherniwchan's game-tying tally late in the third period against the IceMen.

Comeback Kids:

Last night was the third time in the last five games the Stingrays erased a two-goal deficit to tie the contest. In all three games, the Stingrays trailed 2-0 before jumping on the score sheet.

The Stingrays, in partnership with the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), Department of Neurosciences and the South Carolina Advocates for Epilepsy (S.A.F.E.), celebrate Hockey Heroes for Epilepsy Night on Saturday, November 16 at 7:05 p.m. against the Florida Everblades at the North Charleston Coliseum. The players will wear special purple-themed Epilepsy Awareness jerseys and auction them off live after the contest. The night will also feature a silent auction on the main concourse including autographed sports and Hollywood memorabilia, gift certificates and gift baskets, jewelry, vacation packages, original art and more as well as special performances during the intermissions.
