TONIGHT:

The Ontario Reign (5-0-1-2=13 points) continue their seven-game road trip in West Valley City with the second game in their three-game series against the Utah Grizzlies (1-4-1-1=4 points) at the Maverik Center.

Ontario leads the Pacific Division and ranks second in the Western Conference, Utah is currently at the bottom of the Mountain Division and rank eighth in the Western Conference. The Reign will look to continue their eight-game point streak in Utah tonight and give the Grizzlies their second regulation loss at home.

RACK "˜EM UP:

The Reign's Dan DaSilva leads the team and is tied for third in the league with 14 points (4g, 10a) in eight games, and the veteran leads the Reign with a plus-minus rating of +7. Derek Couture is next in line in points with seven (3g, 4a) but leads the team in penalty minutes with 32. The power forward earned his 1,000th professional PIM last night in Utah when he tallied 14 minutes. The Reign's Michael Hutchinson is already tied for the league lead with two shutouts in just four starts. In the ECHL, Hutchinson ranks sixth with a 0.938 save percentage and seventh with a 1.68 goals-against average.

SPECIAL TEAMS ON ICE:

The Grizzlies remain perfect on the penalty kill at home; they have stopped all 22 attempts of their opponents including five Reign man-advantages last night. In a category the Reign haven't shown a lot of strength in so far this season, their road penalty killing, they went four-for-four last night - including having to defend two Utah two-man advantages. Neither team converted their power-play chances, but through the season they have both had 33 opportunities with an advantage; Utah pulls ahead with a 15.2 percent success rate overall and Ontario has a 12.1 percent success rate.

GOAL TRENDS:

In eight games, the Reign have had five, one-goal games and only two regulation wins of those five games. Ontario has yet to be on the losing end of a two, or more, goal game. Through these first few games, the Reign have tended to score early with four of their five first goals lighting the lamp within the first eight minutes of regulation.
