Head-To-Head "" This is the tenth meeting of the regular season and the second of three games between the two teams this weekend. Allen is 9-0-0 against Wichita this season. All remaining games in the series will be played in Allen.
Leading the Way "" Chad Costello leads the ECHL with 72 points in 54 games. Costello picked up an assist last night on Vincent Arseneau's 6th goal of the season.. He leads the ECHL with 27 power play points.
Between the Pipes "" Joel Rumpel recorded his second career shutout last night and second in the month of February. Rumpel has played in 35 games this season with a record of 19-10-2-2.
Road Losing Streak Over "" The Americans ended their four game road losing streak last night with a 1-0 victory. Allen went 2-3-1-1 on their season-long seven game road trip.
Returning Americans"" Spencer Asuchak, Reggie Traccitto and Reid Halabi all returned to the Americans lineup last night in Wichita. All three were held without a point however Asuchak had three shots on goal. The Americans placed J.P Lafontaine and Nolan Descoteaux on reserve.
Wichita Notes "" The Thunder are led by former Americans forward Kale Kerbashian who leads the team in both points (29) and assists (20). Adrien Lemay who was signed by Wichita as a free agent on Friday is expected to get the call for Wichita tonight in Allen.
Around The ECHL "" There are 13 games in the ECHL tonight, with all but two teams in action. The Tulsa Oilers travel to Fort Wayne this evening for a matchup with the Komets. Tulsa was shutout last night 3-0 in Cincinnati and now trails the second place Americans by four points with a game in hand.
