Mallards Trade Koules to Wichita

MOLINE, Ill. - The Quad City Mallards have traded forward Miles Koules to the Wichita Thunder in exchange for future considerations, the Mallards announced today.

Koules, a 21-year old rookie, has scored three goals and added ten assists to total 13 points in 44 games with the Mallards this season.

The 6' 0", 193-pound Los Angeles native last season scored 27 goals and collected 32 assists for 59 points in 69 games with the Portland Winterhawks and Medicine Hat Tigers of the Western Hockey League. Koules scored 71 times, picked up 79 assists and totaled 150 points in 208 games over his three WHL seasons. Prior to moving to the WHL, Koules spent two years with the United States National Development Team.

The Mallards return to action tonight at 7:05 p.m. on home ice against the Rapid City Rush. This evening will be both Frozen Night and John Deere Community Night at the iWireless Center. Young Mallards fans will have the chance to meet and have their photos taken with the princesses during the game on the iWireless Center concourse. Courtesy of Deere & Company, a limited number of tickets for tonight's game are available exclusively at the iWireless Center box office for just $5 while supplies last.

After tonight's game fans can head to Blackwater Jack's Saloon at Stoney Creek Inn for a postgame party at which Mallards players and the Mallards Ice Girls will be among the guests. The postgame party will also feature selected drink specials. Stoney Creek Inn is located at 101 18th Street in Moline, just blocks from the iWireless Center.

Single game tickets for all Mallards regular season home games- including tonight's contest- are on sale now at the iWireless Center box office, Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com and Ticketmaster charge-by-phone toll free at 1-800-745-3000. The box office is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tickets are available for $10, $16, $20 and $24.
