WATCH PARTIES AT KING STREET GRILLE-NORTHWOODS

King Street Grille-Northwoods has become the Watch Party Destination for Stingrays road games during the 2015-2016 season, including games this weekend. THE MATCHUP

The South Carolina Stingrays meet the Florida Everblades this evening for the second time this week. The Stingrays earned a 6-1 win at the Germain Arena on Wednesday night in the first of three games between the two teams. South Carolina enters tonight's game just two points behind Florida for the top spot in the South Division. The Stingrays are 8-1-1-0 in their past 10 games and have won four straight contests. In their last two games versus Florida, the Stingrays have outscored the Everblades 14-2.

OPPONENTS SHOULD FRET, COURTESY OF BRETT

Stingrays forward Brett Cameron has had an exceptional month. Cameron, a rookie, has points in eight of the last 11 games, with eight goals and seven assists for 15 points during that span. In addition, among rookies, Cameron is sixth in points (43), second in goals (19), fifth in assists (24), fourth in penalty minutes (65), second in minor penalties (25) and fourth in power-play points (12).

SPECIAL TEAMS CLINIC

In Wednesday's 8-1 win, South Carolina had a perfect evening on special teams. The club went 3-for-3 on the power play and held Florida to 0-for-3 on the man-advantage. The Stingrays power play has a goal in seven straight games.

VIGIER'S COME TO PLAY

Forward Stephan Vigier notched a pair of goals in the club's 6-1 win at Florida on Wednesday. He currently on a six-game point streak, scoring nine points (six goals, three assists) in that span. He also has a power play goal in four straight games and is currently second on the team with 18 goals.

GIANT GOALTENDING

South Carolina has benefited from exceptional goaltending of late. Netminder Mark Dekanich earned the win in Wednesday's 8-1 victory, giving him wins in seven of his last eight starts. He is currently fifth in the ECHL with a 2.16 goals-against average and a .926 save percentage. Goaltending partner Vitek Vanecek has won his last three starts, allowing just a goal in each game. Vanecek is sixth in the league with a 2.17 goals-against average. That mark is first among rookie goalies.

While the Stingrays are on the road, the club's next home game is the 10th Annual Pink in the Rink presented by Trident Heath on Saturday, March 5 at 7:05 p.m. The evening benefits Share our Suzy, a Charleston-based non-profit organization which allows patients to focus on recovery and not financial stress.
