HEAD-TO-HEAD - This is the 12th and final meeting of the season between the Thunder and the Mallards. All-time, Wichita is 18-8-4 and 9-2-4 at i-Wireless Center.
TODAY - Wichita plays its final two games on the road starting tonight in Moline, IL against Quad City. The two teams played this past Wednesday night with the Mallards taking a 5-3 decision. Tonight is the final regular season meeting that pits Wichita against Quad City. The Mallards have won the last three contests in the season-series. The Thunder are two points behind Tulsa and three back of Quad City for third place. Wichita and Tulsa both have two games in hand on the Mallards and one in hand on Rapid City. Justin Fox led the way on Wednesday night with two goals and an assist for the Mallards. Justin Bernhardt recorded his 12th goal of the season and had one assist for the Thunder in the loss.
UP THE CHARTS - RG Flath found the net for the second game in a row on Wednesday night. He moved into a seventh place tie with Brent Sapergia with 87 goals all-time in a Thunder uniform. The Park City, UT native also moved into a ninth place tie with Daniel Tetrault with 176 points all-time and alone in seventh place in all-time games played in Thunder blue (228). Mike Wilson had two assists on
Wednesday and is alone in seventh place in assists for a defenseman all-time (67).
RUNNER-UP - Danick Gauthier finished as a runner-up for Player of the Week after his outstanding play in four games. The Tampa Bay Lightning product had three points in back-to-back games and finished with two more on Friday night against the Americans at home. Overall, he had nine points (4g, 5a) last week. He is third in the league with 24 points on the power play.
NET FRONT - One major key tonight for the Thunder will be finding a way to get traffic in front of the Quad City net. Parker Milner has been perfect against Wichita, going 6-0-0-0 with a GAA of 1.74 and SV% of .940. Evan Mosher is winless vs. the Thunder with a GAA of 2.82 and a SV% of .907.
