LOVELAND, Colo. -The Colorado Eagles (39-21-3-3) added another point to their record behind a solid performance from goaltender Clarke Saunders as they fell in overtime to the Kalamazoo Wings (31-27-2-3), 2-1, Friday night at the Budweiser Events Center.

Kalamazoo would strike first, as their leading scorer Matt Caria fired home a wrist shot past Saunders to put the Wings up 1-0, 15:58 into the period. Eagles defenseman Colin Joe made his presence known two minutes and 12 seconds later after receiving a perfect pass from teammate Chris Knowlton, tying up the game at one.

Sixty minutes wasn't enough for the Eagles for the third game in a row, as they took Kalamazoo into overtime. With 24 seconds remaining in the extra frame, Wings forward Patrick Kennedy buried home an easy rebound to lift the Wings to a 2-1 overtime victory.
