LAST WEEK'S RECORD: 1-1-0 OVERALL RECORD: 10-11-2, 22 pts.

December 14 vs. Long Beach, 4-2 Loss - The Falcons had an eight-game home-unbeaten streak ended by the Long Beach Ice Dogs. Jason Weaver and Dan Tessier scored in the losing effort.

December 17 vs. Idaho, 3-2 Win - Fresno built a 3-0 second period lead with the help of two power play goals 1:38 apart against the Steelheads' number one-ranked penalty kill. The club eventually was forced to hold off the defending Kelly Cup Champions in the waning moments, which included having to kill off a six-on-three short-handed situation for :39 seconds in the final minute before finally prevailing.

THIS WEEK'S UPCOMING GAMES

Monday, Dec. 20 @ Las Vegas, 11:59 p.m. - The Falcons square-off against the Wranglers for the first time since the season's opening day. Catch all the midnight madness beginning at 11:50 p.m. with the pre-game show on 103.1 FM, The Mountain Cat.

Sunday, Dec. 26 @ Bakersfield, 6 p.m. - Fresno travels to Centennial Garden against the West Division-leading Condors as the club continues a season-long, seven-game, five-city road trip. The live play-by-play action begins at 5:50 p.m. with the pre-game show on 103.1 FM, The Mountain Cat.

NOTES

. Dan Tessier's goal against the Ice Dogs was the team's second unassisted goal of the season. Jim Lorentz scored an unassisted short-handed goal on Nov. 9 against the Toledo Storm.

. Tessier retains the team scoring lead with 23 points (8g-15a) and is tied for 14th league-wide.

. Charles Simard has 16 points (4g-12a), tying him for fourth in scoring among league defensemen.

. After beginning the campaign 1-5-1 at home, the Falcons have gone 8-1-1 in their last 10 at Save Mart Center, giving them a record of 9-6-2 through a league-high 17 home games.

. Fresno still leads the league in both total penalty minutes (663) and penalty minutes per game (28.8).

. The Falcons out-shot an opponent for just the sixth time this season when they out-gunned the Steelheads, 35-22.

. The Falcons are ranked 10th (16.7%) on the power play and 23rd (80.7%) on the penalty kill.

. Fresno begins the week in seventh place in the West Division, three points behind the sixth-place Wranglers and 10 points back of the division-leading Condors.
